Bio:
Gil first for connected to missionary work in Japan in 2006. For five years, Gil worked as a ministry volunteer at Mission to Japan in FL. Through this ministry, Gil was able to minister to and meet students from all around Japan as they came on month-long homestay trips to Florida. Mission to Japan would then follow up with these students in Japan once a year on summer-long missionary trips. It was through this program that Gil and Michika met.

Michika was one of the students that came on the program and was eventually saved and baptized. It was also through this program that the need for the gospel in Japan was made clear to Gil. Less than 1% of the population has been reached in Japan. Making Japanese people one of the most unreached people groups. Japan also has one of the fastest declining evangelical populations in the world.

In 2011, Gil moved to Japan to continue doing ministry in Osaka. Gil and Michika were married in 2013 and now have two daughters. Gil is the youth ministry director at Mustard Seed Christian Church Osaka, as well as a Science teacher.

Michika and Gil lead young adult focused outreach programs, discipleship groups and young family focused outreach. Gil is also involved in multimedia development.

Blooming Blossoms

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet...
